Christopher Duffley has had a few obstacles in his life, and certainly hasn’t had an easy route. However, Christopher’s family believes that he was blessed with a gift from God.
Christopher, who is both blind and Autistic, was brought into the world 14 weeks prematurely and weighed less than 2 pounds. He also had traces of cocaine in his system at the time of his birth. As a newborn he was placed into the foster care system. When Christine Duffley, Christopher’s biological aunt, discovered that he had been placed into foster care she and her husband made the decision to adopt him.
Regardless of the circumstances that Christopher may have been born into, his family truly believes him to be touched by God. One of his many gifts comes in the form of perfect pitch, something that Christopher loves to endow others with. He even graced the stage in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at World Outreach Church where he performed “I Can Only Imagine” by Mercy Me.
Christopher continues to sing and use his gift to inspire others and has since been invited to many other churches to perform. His situation provides us with another example of how God works in mysterious ways and has a plan for us all, even if it may not be clear at first glance.
